Memorial Scroll

Beth El is home to Scroll #990 of the Czech Memorial Scrolls - rescued from the Holocaust and on registry loan from the Memorial Scrolls Trust. You can learn more about the scroll in the video below and in the research paper that was written about the scroll. 

Former Sherriff JB Smith presented this clip on KYTZ-CBS19 in Tyler TX as part of his JB's Journals series.
This piece profiles the Torah scroll that once belonged to the Jewish community of Roudnice, Czech Republic.
While that community was destroyed, one of its scrolls was saved and made its way to Congregation Beth El in Tyler.
